Born on February 4, 1964, to Mario “Elmo” Gonzales and Roberta “Jean” Johnson, Debra was raised in a close-knit family with eight sisters and one brother. Her upbringing instilled in her the values of love, respect, and loyalty—principles she carried with her throughout her life. A proud graduate of Sandusky High School’s Class of 1982, Debra discovered her passion for beauty and hairstyling, which she embraced throughout her life. However, her greatest joy came from being a mother to her three children.
Debra welcomed her first son, Jeremiah, in 1982, followed by her second son, Mark, in 1984, and her daughter, Nikki, in 1988. She was a devoted and loving mother, always offering her children guidance, support, and encouragement. Her pride in their accomplishments was immeasurable, and her love for them was boundless.
